Back in 2012, Anna Kendrick made then-President Barack Obama laugh so hard that he doubled over.
Here’s the proof:
On Friday’s broadcast of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the “A Simple Favor” star revealed exactly what she said during the Los Angeles meet-and-greet to make the former president keel over in laughter.
According to Kendrick, Obama singled her movie “Up In The Air” out for praise in front of around 30 people because of the way in which it “talked about the economy and the recession.”
When they later came face-to-face, Obama asked: “I hope I didn’t embarrass you earlier?”
Kendrick replied: “Yeah, you’re such an asshole.”
She then teased Obama for not knowing a fictional character trait of people from her home state of Maine, a trait that she’d only just made up.
“So I called him an asshole and scolded him for not knowing enough about the 50 states, so that was what made him double over with laughter,” she explained.
Obviously, her taunts were perfectly pitched.
