The Boston Red Sox need just one more win to claim their fourth World Series title in the last 15 seasons after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-6, in Game 4 on Saturday night.
After losing an 18-inning battle for Game 3 on a walk-off home run by the Dodgers’ Max Muncy early Saturday morning, the Red Sox rebounded to take a three-games-to-one lead in the Series.
A three-run homer by Yasiel Puig gave the Dodgers a 4-0 lead in the sixth inning, but the Red Sox tied the game with a homer from Mitch Moreland in the seventh and then a solo shot from Steve Pearce in the eighth. Boston broke open the game in the ninth, starting when pinch-hitter Rafael Devers singled Brock Holt home from second for the go-ahead run.
A Dodgers comeback attempt in the bottom of the ninth stalled after a two-run homer by Enrique Hernandez.

The Red Sox, who led the majors in regular-season wins with 108, have won eight world championships, most recently in 2013. The Dodgers are playing in their second consecutive World Series, after losing last year to the Houston Astros in seven games.
